Five AVRs ran in the Exeter Marathon, an event organised by Exeter City Community Trust, writes Dave Mutter.
The Marahton took in a two-lap course, mostly along the river and canal starting and finishing at the Quay.
A moderate wind started to develop though making it hard going when heading inland.
Joel Seward was first AVR home in 2:48:17, an impressive fifth place overall, especially considering he ran the Manchester Marathon just four weeks before!
The next AVR home was Rupert Pady in a time of 3:11:25.
Kerry Board finished as the fourth leady in a time of 3:45:03 and other AVR times were; Vicki Wraight, 4:14:01 and Angela Kerr, 4:32:36.
Chard’s Wayne Loveridge won the latest Seaton Parkrun in a time of 17:02 with young Innes Fitzgerald finishing second in 17:40 and Adam Hennessey was third in a time of 19:19.
In other club news, Iain Westworth and Paul Lloyd were the first to model the new AVR club top.
