Exmouth Town have donated a number of sets of kit to a charity worker who made a recent trip to Southern Road to receive e the Town offering.
Wear A Sports Shirt Day is an all year round project collecting sportswear and school uniforms with an annual dress down charity day in June. A leading individual with the project is London-based Julian Chenery who is well known locally and has received donations from clubs across Devon in recent years that hew has passed onto the project.
Town’s Martin Cook says: “During Lockdown we have carried out may different tasks at Southern Road and during one such ‘job’ we found bags of old kit in many a cupboard! We already knew of Julian [Chenery] and his splendid work and so we were quick to touch base with him and he came down to our first pre-season game to collect what we had.”
Following the Exmouth ‘kit collect’ Julian then met up with Katey Alice from Care4Calais to whom he passed on some of the Town kit as well as kit from Fakenham Town.
